More than a listing

We don’t simply post your item.
We bring it to market.

Anyone can advertise on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, but a basic classified listing may not communicate the real quality, history, or value of an exceptional koa piece.

National marketplaces can provide wider exposure, but they may involve higher commissions, membership expenses, complicated shipping, and distant buyers.

Koa4Sale provides professional representation focused primarily on Oʻahu. We combine specialized koa knowledge, professional writing, local marketing, online visibility, and direct buyer communication.

If we accept the piece, Koa4Sale handles the sales process.

  • We help establish the price.
  • We write and build the listing.
  • We publish it on Koa4Sale.com.
  • We promote it through search engines, Facebook Marketplace, social media, Google Ads, and our buyer network.
  • We answer calls, emails, and messages.
  • We screen prospective buyers.
  • We assist with questions, viewings, and negotiations.
  • We help complete the transaction.

You don’t have to write advertisements, answer endless messages, identify serious buyers, or arrange meetings with strangers by yourself.

The Koa4Sale advantage

The piece deserves
a proper introduction.

When we accept a piece, we put the Koa4Sale name, knowledge, marketing ability, and reputation behind its presentation.

Depending on the item, we may highlight:

  • Koa grain and wood characteristics.
  • Construction and craftsmanship.
  • Maker’s marks, labels, or signatures.
  • Vintage or mid-century modern design.
  • Known history and provenance.
  • Restoration and repair information.
  • Accurate dimensions and condition.

We describe every piece honestly using the best information available. If something important cannot be confirmed, we disclose that uncertainty.

Our commission

Clear terms.
Agreed in advance.

Our standard online commission is 20% of the completed selling price. We consider pieces with a minimum expected selling price of $3,000.

The piece can remain safely with you until it sells. Before publishing the listing, we agree on the asking price, lowest authorized price, listing period, commission, responsibilities, and any additional services.

Koa4Sale earns its sales commission when the transaction is completed. The owner receives the remaining proceeds after the commission and any previously approved expenses are deducted.

Additional services

If you need more help, Koa4Sale can provide:

  • On-site inspection and photography.
  • Pickup and transportation.
  • Storage and showroom presentation.
  • Cleaning, restoration, or refinishing.
  • Local delivery and installation.
  • Packing and shipping coordination.

These services are quoted and charged separately. Photography, storage, transport, installation, delivery, and shipping coordination are not included in the 20% sales commission. All charges are discussed and approved in advance.

A few practical
questions.

What is the minimum selling price?

We consider qualifying pieces with an expected selling price of at least $3,000. We review the piece before agreeing on the asking price and lowest authorized price.

Does my piece have to move into your storage?

No. The standard online service is owner-held: the piece can remain safely with you until it sells. Pickup, storage, and showroom presentation are additional services agreed in advance.

Are photography and delivery included in the commission?

No. The standard 20% commission is for sales representation. Additional photography, storage, transport, installation, delivery, and shipping coordination are quoted and charged separately, with your approval.

Does sending pictures commit me to a sale?

Submitting a piece begins a review and does not guarantee acceptance. Before a listing is published, we agree on price authority, commission, responsibilities, and any additional services.
